FAQ

1) What is NDIS respite care (STA) in NSW?

Respite care—which is often paid for as Short-Term Accommodation(STA), gives participants and caregivers a short break. In a respite home or hotel-style setting across NSW, it can include-support, meals, activities, and personal care around the clock.

Participants may be eligible when respite is reasonable and necessary to maintain supports, build independence, or sustain informal carers. Evidence from your Support Coordinator or clinicians helps the NDIA understand your need for planned breaks.
Yes. Advanced Integrity Care provides in-home respite (support delivered in your own home) and centre-based/overnight STA. We tailor the model to your preferences, routines, and clinical needs.
We help clients in Greater Sydney, Western Sydney/Parramatta, Newcastle & Hunter, Wollongong/Illawarra, and the Central Coast. Find out if you can get coverage for the Blue Mountains, Lake Macquarie, and nearby regional hubs.

Depending on your plan, STA can include support worker hours, meals, community activities, overnight support, and transport to activities. We provide a clear service agreement showing inclusions, staffing, and daily rates before you book.

Common bookings are 2–14 days, though lengths vary based on goals, budget, and availability. We can schedule regular breaks (e.g., one weekend per month) or ad-hoc stays around carer needs or medical appointments.

Absolutely. Our trained staff and registered nurses can manage medication, diabetes care, PEG feeding, catheters, seizure plans, positive behaviour support strategies, and manual handling—with clear risk and escalation plans.

Pricing follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for STA and in-home respite. If your plan is plan- or agency-managed, we invoice the plan directly. You usually cover personal spending money and optional extras.

Start with a quick intake. We review your NDIS plan, goals, and support needs, then confirm dates, location, staffing, and roster of care. You’ll receive a written service agreement and booking confirmation.

Yes. We arrange accessible transport, community outings, and interest-based activities (e.g., markets, sport, arts). We align plans with your goals—capacity building, social connection, or carer relief.
